Show Rules

Policy updates approved by the Board of Directors and Officers for the National Pike Steam Show.

This page is still being developed. The rules below are a starting point and may not reflect all show rules currently in effect. Contact the Show Office with any questions before relying on this page as complete.

The Board of Directors and Officers of the National Pike Steam, Gas & Horse Association have approved the following policy updates, effective beginning with the May 2026 show.

Gate Access & Vehicle Parking

  • ●The drive-through gate will be closed daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during show days.
  • ●Vehicles may exit the grounds during this time; however, re-entry is restricted.
  • ●Incoming displays will be permitted during gate closure hours, but vehicles and trailers must be returned to the parking lot after unloading.
  • ●Parking at display areas is not permitted unless prior approval is granted by a Director or Officer.
  • ●All trailers must be parked in the designated trailer parking area.

Kitchens & Volunteers: Food service kitchens must provide the gate with a list of volunteers scheduled to work during show hours. Volunteers arriving between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. will be permitted entry.

Any special circumstances must be approved by the Vice President or President.

Display Spot Roping-Off Policy

  • ●Display spots may not be roped off prior to 4:00 p.m. on the Saturday before the May and August shows.
  • ●Only members of the organization may reserve display spots.
  • ●All roped-off spots must be clearly tagged with contact information.
  • ●Any spots roped off before the approved time will be removed.

Members who assist with grounds work on the scheduled workday will receive first priority in selecting display spots.

The National Pike Steam Show reserves the right to condense or relocate display areas before or during the show if necessary. Any exceptions must be approved by a Director or Officer.

Exhibitor Pre-Registration

Exhibitors can complete their registration paperwork ahead of time. Pre-registration is optional and does not reserve or guarantee a display spot; spots are still assigned according to the Display Spot Roping-Off Policy above.

Exhibitor Waiver & Release

By registering as an exhibitor, each exhibitor agrees to the following:

"I understand that exhibiting equipment at the National Pike Steam, Gas & Horse Association's Annual Steam Show is voluntary and at my own risk. I release the Association, its officers, and volunteers from liability for loss, theft, or damage to my equipment, and I agree to operate any powered equipment safely and in accordance with show grounds rules."
